Santa is supposed to be a force for good, but street entertainer David Zanaci has other ideas. He often portrays a loud, obnoxious, now-infamous version of Santa he calls “Zanta.” Around Toronto, the muscled man is known for running around saying “yes, yes, yes” and “Merry Christmas.” Then, in 2014, he took it a little too far. While Global BC reporter Mark Carcasole did a report from the streets of Toronto, Zanta barged into the shot and started yelling.
“Google Zanta! Google Zanta!” the entertainer screamed. Thankfully, even as Zanaci continued making noise while security led him away, Carasole kept his cool. He finished his report like nothing happened, only saying at the end that he “knows Zanta well.”
