Well, now you can buy yourself a bottle of that deliciousness at Walmart. The pastel-colored sauce was first seen in June 2022 on the social media of the TikTok creator Chef Pii. With the huge increase in interest, the sales grew, as well as some criticism. What is Pink Sauce?

The pink sauce is a bright Pepto Bizmol-coloured condiment that can be eaten with many foods. Last year, Chef Pii posted videos on his TikTo account dipping any and all kinds of food in the Pink sauce, including tacos, chicken, gyros, and so much more. After that, the sauce became famous on other social media platforms like Instagram and Twitter.

Chef Pii’s real name is Veronica Shaw, and she is based in Miami, according to the New York Times. As a child, she was given the nickname ‘pink,’ but she later shortened the name for a social media moniker and decided to turn it into ‘Pii.’

What Are The Ingredients Of The Pink Sauce?

The pink sauce is currently priced at $9.99 per 13-ounce bottle, and according to the Dave’s Gourmet Specialty Food Site, the following are the ingredients used to make this dipping glory:

Canola oil
Dragon fruit puree
Water
Coconut cream
Sugar
Garlic
Ranch flavor (onion powder, modified food starch, maltodextrin, natural flavors)
Distilled white vinegar

Taste of the Pink Sauce

When the sauce first became popular last year, people claimed it tasted similar to ranch dressing. Marie Wright, the chief global flavorist at Archer Daniels Midland Co., tasted the sauce as well and described it to be a sharp and slightly sweet twist on the ranch.

When it was announced that the sauce is to be produced, the president of Dave’s Gourmet, David Neuman, said that with the help of the company’s R&D staff, the sauce was completely reformulated to match the same exact color and taste of the one created by Chef Pii.
