Joe and Jill Biden’s story began in 1975 when they first crossed paths on a blind date set up by his brother. Two years later, the couple walked down the aisle but not everything went smoothly prior to the big event. She even quipped that he proposed to her five times before she finally said yes.
Their family expanded with the birth of their daughter, Ashley, in 1981, joining Joe’s two sons, Beau and Hunter, from his previous marriage. Tragically, in 2015, Beau passed. To this day, the couple continues to endure the pressures of politics, with Joe even about his relationship in “Promises to Keep.”
