John Delaney and Gena Delaney – Together Since
John and Gena Delaney’s love story began in 1979, and they sealed their commitment with marriage in 1980. Gena, a UF graduate, embarked on a journey to obtain a Nursing degree after the birth of their first two children. She later worked at St Vincent’s Hospital, showcasing her dedication to healthcare.
Residing in the charming Neptune Beach, they raised a loving family of four children. In addition to their own kids, they opened their hearts to their niece, Rebecca, and nephew Nathan, offering support after a tragic loss in the family in 1987. Gena retired from nursing to care for their children and support her mother when John became mayor.
