Pete Buttigieg and Chasten Buttigieg – Together Since 2015
Pete Buttigieg and Chasten Buttigieg’s love journey began in the summer of 2015 when they connected on a dating app. Pete, then a first-term mayor in South Bend, Indiana, and Chasten, a grad student in Chicago, bonded over their shared love for “Game of Thrones.” Their relationship blossomed through regular FaceTime chats.
In August 2015, Chasten made the trip to South Bend for their first date, which featured fireworks and Scotch eggs. Then, in December 2017, Pete proposed to Chasten at O’Hare International Airport. By 2018, they exchanged vows in South Bend with 200 guests.
