Their bond was put to the test early on when his campaign director resigned due to a controversy.
Jennifer stood by Gavin, acknowledging that there are two sides to every story. In 2008, their relationship reached a new milestone when he proposed during a romantic Hawaii trip. The couple tied the knot at Jennifer’s parents’ Montana ranch later that year. They have since welcomed four children.
