Woody Allen – Real Name: Allen Stewart Konigsberg

Woody Allen, one of the most prominent filmmakers in the United States, is no stranger to changing his name. He was born Allen Stewart Konigsberg, but at the age of 17, he changed his name to Heywood Allen and then to Woody as a more distinctive moniker. Allen’s six-decade career as an actor, writer, comedian, and director includes many Academy Award-winning films.

“Zelig,” “Broadway Danny Rose,” “Hannah and Her Sisters,” and “Another Woman,” among others, are some of his works. Allen is a published author with several novels under his belt, the most recent of which is “Apropos of Nothing,” which was released in 2020.
