Gordon Matthew Thomas Sumner, famously known as Sting, a revered figure in the music industry, became a grandparent with the birth of his grandchildren, reflecting a new chapter in his storied life. Joe Sumner, Sting’s son with his first wife Frances Tomelty, has followed in his father’s musical footsteps as the singer and bassist for Fiction Plane.
Joe and his wife, Kate Finnerty, welcomed their daughter in 2012, marking Sting’s entry into grandparenthood. Additionally, Brigitte Michael “Mickey” Sumner, Sting’s daughter with Trudie Styler, has carved her own path in acting. Mickey and her husband, Chris Kantrowitz, celebrated the birth of their son Akira in 2017.
