Surfers Paradise became a spectacle of fashion and fun as 357 women in bikinis came together in a bid to set a Guinness World Record. The year was 2011, and the sandy shores of Queensland, Australia, became the stage for this unique parade of beachwear brilliance. However, the record they set was later surpassed.
The title for the largest bikini parade now belongs to an event in Huludao City, Liaoning, China. One thousand eighty-five participants took to the streets the following year, setting a new benchmark in such parades. This playful and spirited attempt brought smiles and a sense of camaraderie.
