Katie Leung – Cho Chang
The actress who charmed us as Cho Chang in the “Harry Potter” series is none other than Katie Leung. She soon became a household name in the field with just one movie. In the franchise, her Ravenclaw character shared a close bond with the Boy Who Lived, notably in “The Order of the Phoenix,” where their steamy kiss stole the limelight.

While “Harry Potter” was a significant part of her career, Katie also had a minor role as a nurse in “T2 Trainspotting.” These days, her passion lies in theater work, a new chapter in her journey beyond the wizarding world.
Shefali Chowdhury – Parvati Patil
Shefali Chowdhury, one-half of the Patil sisters, graced three “Harry Potter” films with her presence. She first wowed us in “The Goblet of Fire,” looking absolutely stunning at the Yule Ball before continuing her magical journey with appearances in “The Order of the Phoenix” and “The Half-Blood Prince.”

Shefali spilled the beans on how she landed the role. The production team was hunting for twins to play pivotal roles in the franchise, and her teacher urged her to audition. After numerous tryouts, she and Afshan secured their spots. She chose not to pursue acting further; her post-Potter roles were limited to three short films, released in 2015 and 2019.
Kelly Macdonald – Helena Ravenclaw
Kelly Macdonald, known to Potterheads as Helena Ravenclaw or the Gray Lady, made her film debut at just 19 in “Trainspotting,” acting alongside seasoned pros. In “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – Part 2,” Harry questioned her about the diadem Horcrux amid the Battle of Hogwarts. Interestingly, during that scene, she had to work with a cardboard cutout of Harry.

Beyond Potter, Kelly has graced various films and series like “Gosford Park,” “No Country for Old Men,” “Brave,” “Black Mirror,” “Intermission,” and “Boardwalk Empire.” She even bagged an Emmy award for her role in “The Girl in the Cafe.”
Bonnie Wright – Ginny Weasley
As the youngest Weasley and the only daughter of Arthur and Molly, Ginny, portrayed by Bonnie Wright, evolved from a shy girl with a massive crush on Harry to a strong and confident character. Her love story with Harry finally blossomed in the sixth film, “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince.”

Unlike some of her co-stars, she hasn’t pursued acting since her time in the film franchise. Instead, she’s found her passion in directing various music videos, marking a different kind of magic in her career. Bonnie also directed short films like “Know Thyself.” She also emerged as an activist, championing the reduction of single-use plastic.
Julie Walters – Molly Weasley
Dame Julie Walters is well-known for her role in the “Harry Potter” film series, where she portrayed Molly Weasley, the matriarch of the Weasley family. Molly’s iconic moment came when she defeated Bellatrix Lestrange during the Battle of Hogwarts.

Julie continues to shine in the world of acting with roles in films like “Paddington 2,” “Brooklyn,” and “Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again.” She also starred in a remake of “The Secret Garden” alongside Colin Firth. However, she wasn’t in the “Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts,” most likely because of her semi-retirement from acting. Nonetheless, fans still eagerly anticipate the British actress’s return to the screen.
