Hailing from England with Bangladeshi roots, Afshan Azad etched her name into cinematic history with her role in the “Harry Potter” franchise. Her debut was in the series’ fifth installment, “The Goblet of Fire,” where she brilliantly portrayed Padma Patil, one-half of the identical Patil twins, sharing the screen with Shefali Chowdhury as Parvati.
Afshan formed close bonds on set with fellow female actors like Bonnie Wright, who played Ginny Weasley, and Evanna Lynch, who embodied Luna Lovegood. In 2018, she ventured into a new chapter in her life by marrying Nabil Kazi in a Muslim ceremony. They welcomed their first child in 2021.
