Hollywood’s Ageless Stars: How These Celebrities Defy Time!

Elin Nordegre – Born in 1980

Elin Maria Pernilla Nordegren, born on January 1, 1980, in Stockholm, is a Swedish model and the former wife of professional golfer Tiger Woods. Elin started her career at a clothing store called Champagne in Stockholm, where she met Mia Parnevik, wife of golfer Jesper Parnevik. Mia hired Elin as a nanny for their children, a job that required her to move to the United States. It was at the 2001 Open Championship where she was introduced to Tiger Woods by Jesper. Initially, Woods had been eager to meet Nordegren, who was seeing someone else at the time. “She wasn’t interested in Tiger, and he was okay with that,” Mia Parnevik said. “There were plenty of single golfers who would want to meet her.” In November 2003, Woods and Nordegren attended the Presidents Cup tournament in South Africa and got engaged at the luxurious Shamwari Game Reserve.

They married in October 2004 in Barbados. Woods rented a luxury resort for an entire week, costing him 2 million dollars.

Shortly after their relationship became public, nude photos of Elin began to circulate on the internet, although they were proven to be fake. Despite this, in 2006, the Irish magazine The Dubliner published nude photos claiming them to be of Elin. On November 16, 2006, Nordegren filed a lawsuit against The Dubliner and won 125,000 euros. The Dubliner publicly apologized.

In 2007, the couple announced the birth of their first daughter, Sam Alexis Woods, a day after Woods finished second in the 2007 U.S. Open. On September 2, 2008, they announced they were expecting their second child. She gave birth to a son, Charlie Axel, in 2009.

In December 2009, Tiger Woods publicly admitted to infidelity following a car accident in Florida. Tiger announced he would take a “break” from golf to mend his marriage. Despite efforts, they divorced on August 23, 2010. Elin’s legal team included her sister, Josefin.

With the $100 million she received from the divorce, she purchased a $12 million mansion in Florida, built in 1920.
