The wildfire threatened the mansion, and their son, Chet Hanks, shared his concern on Instagram, stating, “The neighborhood I grew up in is burning to the ground right now. Pray for the Palisades.” While neighboring homes suffered extensive damage, details of Tom and Rita’s estate remained private, a testament to the unpredictable nature of wildfires. Nevertheless, they expressed much gratitude to the firefighters and first responders.
