Implementing AI in Cancer Detection
At Harvard Medical School, Madison’s research implements AI for spotting pancreatic cancer early. Artificial Intelligence is excellent at analyzing data in ways humans can’t and finding those early signs of cancer that normal tests might not catch.
But pancreatic cancer hardly shows clear symptoms in the early stage, which makes it tricky to diagnose. So, while it’s relatively new, this method could totally change how we detect this disease. It also doesn’t hurt that Madison’s driven by her own story. Her mom passed on 10 months after her diagnosis. That’s why she’s working so hard on this innovative mix of tech and medicine.
