An Unlikely Duo Spotted
On August 24, 1977, Woody Allen hosted a party at Studio 54 for Carter Burden. At the party, he was seen with Michael Jackson. Both icons, each a legend in their respective fields, were absorbed in the vibrant atmosphere of the club. The acclaimed filmmaker known for his distinctive storytelling, and a young Michael were seen having a good chinwag.
Photographer Carrie Boretz, who always avoided paparazzi’s frenzy, captured this unique interaction. Despite their friendly rapport, Woody and the ‘King of Pop’ never collaborated creatively, leaving us lesser mortals imagining what could have been. In her book “Street,” Carrie highlighted how the shutterbugs surrounded celebrities at the club.
