Teenage Celebrities Were On the Guest List Too
Grace Jones was an inspiration for many budding celebrities. Before you scorn at these teenagers holding a glass of whatever it is, let us tell you that the one on the left is Brooke Shields, who attained fame at age 12 after appearing in the 1978 film “Pretty Baby.” The guy sitting beside her is Mariel Hemingway.
The teenagers were pictured enjoying a night out during the club’s heyday in 1978. Brooke, already a rising star, and Mariel, known for her performance in “Lipstick,” were watching a mesmerizing performance by none other than Grace on the New Year’s Eve in 1978. At the time, the legal drinking age in New York was 18.
