Many people have seen the movie “Bridesmaids.” It turns out that Hollywood icon Melissa McCarthy was inspired by Guy himself when she played the role of Megan in the movie. She shared with Conan O’Brien in 2011 that the chef was her muse for the character.
In the movie, Melissa’s character is a scene-stealer with unapologetic confidence and zest for life. Inspired by Guy’s flamboyant persona, she envisioned Megan with his trademark glasses slung on the back of her head and even campaigned to have his signature spiky, bleached hairdo. Although the filmmakers denied this request, she let his essence shine through in her performance.
