Freudian Slip
For most of us, only a few people hear our embarrassing word slip-ups. Unfortunately, for Blackhawks’ reporter Susannah Collins, millions heard her “Freudian slip” during the pregame show of the NHL’s team’s first playoff game. You see, the anchor stated that the team had enjoyed a “tremendous amount of sex” during the regular season, when she meant to say “success.”
Of course, Collins tried to emend her mistake as quickly as possible, but the flub promptly went viral. Fortunately, the anchor had a great sense of humor about the incident and went to Twitter to comment about it afterward. “Thanks for laughing along with me & my “tremendous” slip, guys. Who couldn’t use a good chuckle every now & then right? #Whopps!” she wrote.
