Alaskan news anchor Charlo Greene received worldwide attention for her unexpected on-air confession and sudden resignation. At the time, Green was reporting on a story about cannabis legislation in Alaska and the Alaskan Cannabis Club, a group fighting for legalization. Then, at the end of the segment, Greene announced that she actually owned the Alaskan Cannabis Club!
“Now everything you’ve heard is why I, the actual owner of the Alaska Cannabis Club, will be dedicating all of my energy toward fighting for freedom and fairness, which begins with legalizing marijuana here in Alaska. And as for this job, well, not that I have a choice but, I quit,” Greene declared before leaving the set!
