Former WNBC news anchor Sue Simmons became an icon over her decades in the game. For over 30 years, she worked for at the New York Channel 4, appearing on TV screens all over the city almost every day. Not only that, but Simmons has also served as a leading African American figure in the journalism world.
However, despite her many years of reputable reporting, Simmons has her fair share of news bloopers. Most infamously, viewers once heard her scream “what the f*** are you doing?” at co-anchor Chuck Scarborough as a live news teaser ran. Unfortunately, Simmons didn’t realize they were still live. Thankfully, she apologized for the incident immediately afterward.
