Catching Up with the Herd
In the song “Nellie the Elephant,” the head of the herd calls her from far away. While we don’t know if that was the case here, it was clear that our mama elephant and her calf had quite a trek ahead to catch up with their herd.
Mama likely knew the way, with the jungle as part of their travel plans. Reunited, they could now move quickly, hoping to catch up sooner rather than later. With renewed determination and a bit of jungle adventure ahead, the pair set off. The villagers watched, rooting for their success, knowing they’d eventually find their way back to the herd.
